What professional skills do we require?

Smith Madden comprises three functional groups of professionals: Design Services, Project Management Services and Sales and Marketing.

Within these groups we employ professionals with backgrounds in Interior Design, CAD Design, Project Management, Contract Administration and Sales and Marketing. We employ people at various levels with relevant experience and qualifications in all of the above areas.

Smith Madden gives its employees the opportunity to work within teams and on projects from conceptualization through documentation and costing to practical completion of construction.

Marketers are encouraged to network across Australia and overseas to secure new and repeat business as part of our ever-expanding client profile.

Designers are given the freedom to be creative by working directly with clients and can actively participate in the evolution of their design concepts from start to practical implementation.

Project Managers are also an important member of each project team and are encouraged to interact with marketers who manage the client relationship, designers who interpret and translate the client design brief and contractors who will form the nucleus of our construction teams who ultimately realize the construction of our client's new work environment.

Smith Madden also supports the professional development of students and graduates from these areas and offer a number of undergraduate/graduate placements each year.

Where are we located?

Smith Madden has four offices Australia wide which are conveniently located in inner city locations in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. There are always opportunities to travel between offices and work on projects across Australia and with our affiliates internationally.

• Brisbane Level 6, 400 Queen Street, BRISBANE QLD 4000

  Positioned conveniently on the Eagle St end of Queen St, our Brisbane office is in close proximity to Brisbane's Eagle St Wharf fine dining and nightclubs, and only a few minutes walk from the Queen St mall with its array of shopping and food courts. The Brisbane office also offers beautiful views of the Brisbane River and Story Bridge to all the staff.

• Melbourne Level 3, 62 Lygon Street, MELBOURNE VIC 3053

  Melbourne is the head office of Smith Madden Group and is conveniently located in Lygon Street on the fringe of the CBD. Lygon Street is the heart of Carlton's restaurant area, and during the evening you will find it a buzz with people out enjoying themselves. During the day there is a choice of cafés, gelato bars and shopping to amuse almost anyone and only five minutes away is the hub of Melbourne's shopping areas, theaters, pubs, clubs and sporting venues.

  The Perth Office is located at the Gateway to the CBD where Adelaide Terrace becomes St Georges Terrace, and diagonally opposite the 5 star Duxton Hotel. Free bus transport throughout the Perth CBD is located at our doorstep as are an abundance of cafes and restaurants. The central city shopping precinct is only a short stroll from the office and the beautiful Swan River and an abundance of parklands are in close proximity to the office.

  Situated in the heart of the CBD, the Sydney office offers picturesque surrounds and convenience with close proximity to trains, buses and ferries. On your doorstep there is an abundance of shops, food courts, pubs, clubs and fashion stores. Only a short stroll to the beautiful surrounds of Circular Quay and the Opera House if you require a backdrop whilst you eat lunch.

All positions at Smith Madden are offered on a Full-Time Permanent basis, however we will consider longer term Contracts and Part-Time employment if required.
